Well, I should have asked but didn't when I took my 5th wheel in for service. Diagnostic fees are $145 an hour. The bill came out to $1700 plus for a microwave and a converter replacement. This included an AC check (which is what it went in for under Dometics recomendation). The AC unit was arcing and they never took the cover off to look at it. I find it uterly absurd to be charged $145 to be told the microwave doesn't work and another $145 to be told the converter isn't working. Nice shop, nice folks, I still can't get over the diagnostic fees. Sir, Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review. Upon reflection, I cannot give you 2 stars and have revised it to 3. I would like to point out 2 things regarding your response. I was not told of hourly rates until I was called and told what the total would be. It did not make sense not to have it done as the diagnostics had already been completed (getting billed). I also do not recall being informed that the rates would include time spent on the phone with the waranty company until I picked my unit. I do believe the AC should have been looked at from the roof as well as I could hear it shorting/arcing and the reason I found myself at your shop. The hourly rate falls squarely on me. I had no clue the labor was going to be what it was prior to the call authorizing the work. Honestly, I thought there had to be a mistake. This is my 5ft rv and the first time I have taken one in for work other than factory waranty. I know whats involved swapping out converters microwaves, ACs and the like. Please extend my apologies to your staff if they were uncorfortable. While I was certainly not pleased with the totals I thought that it was civil transaction.

Thank you for your review Mr. B. After looking over all of the information, your extended warranty's involvement with the repairs needed, and what services were actually performed and noted, we had your approval before any work was performed or services were billed to you. When you brought your vehicle in for repairs, you are correct in stating you didn't ask what the costs were for diagnostic or repairs, we told you what was involved, the hourly labor rate and approx how much time we estimated for each of the complaints/repairs you needed. Our labor rate was quoted to you at $145, the time to diagnose your complaints also includes the time we deal with the extended warranty company as well as the time our technician and service writer have with the repairs/services on your vehicle. We did make you aware the hourly rate was the same whether your extended warranty approved or declined your repairs. On Jan. 8th we updated you to let you know we had not tested your roof A/C due to the extreme cold weather conditions and we needed warmer temperatures to be able to test. On 1/15 your extended warranty company called and approved $1215.03 of a $1769.01 repair, with your $100 deductible this left you owing a total of $553.98 plus deductible of $653.98. Your warranty company, Dometic (mfg) nor our company would absorb the 1 hour diag on your AC. We performed an Amp draw on the roof unit, checked ambient vs intake and output temp readings. We ran the A/C unit all day and we could not duplicate your arcing complaints. We saw no need to remove the shroud because the A/C worked in our facility. The extended warranty company only authorized $435 for labor, and labor total was $870. They also only allowed $720.58 in parts, parts were $759.05, and tax allowed was $59.45 with actual tax total of $66.65. This is how they came up with $1215.03 less the $100 deductible. They do not cover shop supplies or hazardous waste fees. On Jan. 16, 2018, you were explained in detail what your amount would be after the extended warranty paid, to which you stated, "It was too much", but gave approval, stating "it is what it is". Parts were ordered, installed, rechecked and again prior to you picking up the vehicle we reran the roof A/C to verify it was operating correctly. It has been our pleasure to have the opportunity to service or repair your vehicle and appreciate the trust and confidence you placed in our work. We know your experience with us also involved an extended warranty in the repairs of your vehicle. This made the pickup of your vehicle at the front counter unpleasant and uncomfortable for everyone involved. When we deal with extended warranties they dictate what must be done for the repair of the vehicle to be warranted and we strive to accommodate both the customer and the extended warranty. This is why we must have approval from the customer and document the dates/times we speak with you, the customer, as well as document your comments/or requests. Although, we may not be the shop for you or your vehicle needs we encourage you to find a technician who has the skills, knowledge and experience to know how to fix your vehicle right the first time. Building a relationship with someone you can trust is important, owning a recreational vehicle of any type may be expensive depending on the repairs you need, or if you go to the wrong person who guesses or doesn't know how to fix today's vehicle.

Employees were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They did a great job, at what I felt was a fair price, and they kept the work areas clean. They even warmed the unit, as it was quite chilly on Tuesday am when I picked it up.

Thank you for stopping by and trusting us with your vehicle, we appreciate your kind words and we are here for you with any future vehicle needs or repairs you may have. Stop by the coffee pot is always on!

This was my first visit to LeMeilleur's but it won't be my last. My AAA membership provided the opportunity to get a 40 point maintenance check on my car and they also did my state required inspection which was due. I was immediately greeted and the paperwork was promptly processed. The waiting area was very comfortable and I enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee while waiting. They were courteous, efficient and I believe they appreciated my business. Thank you LeMeilleur employees. My experience there was a positive one.

Thank you, we are glad you had a positive experience here and look forward to building a long term relationship with you and your vehicle. We appreciate your business and the coffee pot is always on!

We were on the road from Florida to California when our travel trailer wheel/axle started making a squeaking/rattling noise. We called and spoke with David who said he could take a look first thing the next morning. Everyone was so friendly and professional. The shop is clean and there’s a comfy waiting area. They told us up front what what a diagnostic would cost and took my husband back to show him what they’d found. After repairs were done David and my husband took a short road test to make sure everything looked good. It’s clear these folks know their stuff and care about customer service. We were back on the road within 3 hours. Would highly recommend them.

Thank you for you awesome review! We sincerely hope the rest of your trip is without incidence. The next time you are our way please stop by for a visit and some coffee!

I live in Fredericksburg. While visiting my mom, who was currently in the hospital in Kerrville, my car overheated. I also had my 86 year old father in tow. I was so fortunate to be right by Lemeilleur's. The very kind and wonderful staff took such good care of us. They researched and made all the appropriate calls in order to find my warranty and help us get a tow and ride back to Fredericksburg. While they were not able to work on my vehicle I am sure they would have done a great job and made every effort to make us comfortable as we waited for our ride even though we technically were not even a customer. This is the type of business that makes me proud of America!

Thank you for your kind words! We are so glad we happened to be close by and glad we were able to assist you with your vehicle warranty and thankful the dealership was able to provide you with alternate transportation. If you ever need any services or maintenance done on your vehicle and it isn't covered by your vehicle warranty keep us in mind in the future. Feel free to drop by anytime and we wish you the best getting your vehicle up and going again!

Where do I start with this company? First off their business name should be Lemillions RV Truck their a huge rip off. I called in and told them problem was it needed a new fuel line for the high pressure injection system because the bolt was allowing fuel to come out the top of it, as well as new bolts on the fuel injection pump as they had rattled out causing this whole issue and was quoted $240 plus parts. Upon arrival they saw dollar signs as a mother and her young son in a dodge sprinter with 4 dirt bikes headed to California for his race and was desperate to get vehicle fixed as soon as possible due to time crunch. Once vehicle was inspected I was told they needed to check to see if we needed a new pump all together, would order the line and it also needed a new starter which was not an issue before. The van was covered in diesel due to the leaking from the line. So they charged $214 to clean under the hood as well stating they didn’t want us to go up in flames down the road. I told them nothing was wrong with the pump as I had already blocked that leak trying to get it to them and no fuel came out anywhere. So I was certain it just needed a new fuel line and replace bolts. Then their all time famous words “As long as nothing else goes wrong when taking this apart and putting back together” your looking at $1700 with parts and labor. Labor of 9 hours was calculated for this job insane. The next day they didn’t call me ahead of time they wait till I arrive at facility at 11:30 when my van was expected to be finished to notify me that the injection pump was moving around and they needed to take if off and reinsert in as it wasn’t properly inserted at a previous dealership. Wow 3 more hours of labor projecting to be $2100 now with my son and I in their waiting for another 3 hours for them to come out and tell me no it was inserted correctly just needed new bolts. I was furious as I had already stated to them at initial arrival it needed new bolts as a gentlemen at autozone had rigged some in there for me to make it to lemeilleurs. I told them are you kidding me? I told you this and they still argued with me stating reguardless pump had to come out and be reinstalled so it wasn’t a waste of time and this was the owners son now speaking with me. Then why wasn’t that tallied up in original quote that I signed. They test drove it and as soon as we pulled out not even a 100 ft the serpentine belt broke and wrapped a around the harmonic balancer which in result destroyed the front main seal. I called them took back and they concluded it to be coincidental they ordered belts quoting me $190 for serpentine belt and $89 for smaller belt as well as a week of repairs for the crank front main seal. We left and refused them to service anymore as that was totally unaffordable if 9 hours of work cost $2100 to still leave undrivable. Called Mercedes where they ordered the belts and picked up ourselves to find out serpentine belt was only $48 and smaller belt $22 they also asked us were these for lemeilluer bc they called for these same belts and we then told them what they were charging us after finding out true price and they informed us that lemeilluer gets a deal with them for even cheaper then what we got. So lemeilluer was making $190 profit off of parts alone in this case. Ironically I called and said I have parts if I could just pay them labor as I knew of no one else to help me and they refused service saying they had no available mechanics for remainer of week. Their a rip off and have absolutely no morales and I am now getting an attorney involved! We were towed to Dodge of Boerne Texas who at first couldn’t fit us in but after hearing our horrific story took us in immediately with owner and manager approaching us apologizing for what we had been through and said we were completely ripped off.

Mrs. Sims contacted us stating she had a fuel leak from an injector line, stating she had already put orings under a tapered seat high pressure fuel line(6 total)& jb weld on the lines to try&stop the leak. We advised her charge was an hour diagnostic fee&the line if this was all she needed. When she arrived at our repair facility&pulled up front, diesel fuel was running from underneath the vehicle. We made her aware we would have to pull vehicle into the shop&stop the fuel leak before we could assess what was causing the leak. The Cust(who isn't a mechanic)assured us it was only the line because she had her vehicle in a repair shop before she had left on her trip from Fl. To CA. After we got it cleaned (approx.1.5 hours)we pulled the inlet boost resonator off, the top engine cover off &a couple of lines intertwined to get high pressure line off the pump to the fuel rail. Once we took off the resonator it was evident the rubber boot& oring were fuel saturated. It is our experience on the 3LV6 turbo Diesel the boost boot can develop a boost leak under normal conditions even when diesel fuel hasn’t saturated it. We recommended replacing the boot& o-ring to keep her from having further problems on the road. Cust. agreed to the repair all the while stating she was in a time constraint to get to CA for her son to go to his MotoCross race. We did everything possible to accommodate her time frame. After getting the vehicle back together it was noticed the fuel injection pump was rocking back and forth on the front of the motor& it was suggested we pull the pump, the bolts felt stripped. The young man who was with her stated he bought the bolts at AutoZone and he put them in to hold it on. The bolts were 6MM in bolt holes designed to run 7MMx1.0x35MM bolts. The bolts were incorrect, that is why the pump was rocking on the engine. After inspection & verifying with Mercedes they had no bolts in stock. We contacted the local supplier, found a supplier who had bolts with the correct thread, slightly longer so we could get to undamaged threads to be able to secure the pump correctly. Customer was extremely agitated to get on the road. Her arrival at our shop was because we shuttled her to the hotel the prior day & picked her up the following day anticipating her vehicle was close to being ready. We let the Sprinter run for almost an hour to verify there were no other fuel leaks, we degreased the engine compartment & rinsed as much of the fuel off as we could, &blew it dry. We test drove the van approx.10 miles, We reexamined it to make sure we had no other leaks&there was nothing obvious that would have created a problem for her. All the while she paced frantically in/out of the building due to her time constraints to be back on the road. After looking at it, as the owner, I took it on another drive to try to circumvent any kind of problem with the fuel system. Not having any problems on the test drive when we brought it back we examined it one more time knowing it was a single mother on the road and knowing she would also have to make a return trip back to FL. Not seeing other problems, we released the vehicle to her. Keep in mind this vehicle had 85K miles on it to which she stated we just purchased it no too long ago& she was ready to go. We did not see any further issues with the fuel system...Not hearing back from her we assumed she either was still trying to decide what to do or she had taken the vehicle to another repair facility. Fortunately, we are an extremely busy repair facility, but we were doing our best to accommodate her situation but she a poorly maintained vehicle with numerous issues. We aren't in a habit of ripping off customers. When it comes to making sure the vehicle is safe for the road we don't apologize or cut corners. Where we do take offense is slanderous comments about our facility & technicians. We did all she allowed us to do for her repairs&glad she found a facility she trust.(SureCritic.com)complete response

We live in Indiana but were interested in buying a vintage travel trailer from a private seller in Kerrville, TX. The seller agreed to tow the trailer to Lemeilleur's for an inspection. It was extremely helpful as out of state buyers to get their inspection report! Price of the inspection seemed reasonable compared to the couple other places we called, and it was thorough. We mostly worked with David ("D2"). He fielded A LOT of calls from us with questions re: the trailer as we tried to make our decision, and he was always patient, professional, and knowledgeable. If we lived in TX, we'd use them again!

Thank you! D2 is an asset to our company and we are here if you find another vehicle for a pre buy inspection. Anytime you are in the Kerrville area stop by and get to know us in person. Good luck with your hunt for the recreational vehicle for your needs!
